Class Descriptions:
Gentle Yoga
For all levels of students who enjoy a glow, gentle, yet sometimes challenging yoga practice. Fundamental postures and breathing techniques will be offered to afford students an enriching yoga experience. Helpful props such as blocks and ties will be used to support the body. Beginners are more than welcome!
Tuesday Yoga Mix
Just as it sounds, this class is quite the mix. Experience anything from a gentle, restorative class to a full onenergetic flow. The yoga practice will vary depending on the weather, season and the whim of the teacher. Mix it up and have fun!
Deepen Your Yoga
Targeting those with a well developed practice looking to deepen their knowledge of yoga. Dive into some yoga philosophy and a greater variety of postures in this workshop setting. We chant, explore the chakra system and even break into dance from time to time. Each week is an opportunity to explore a new theme.
Friday Yoga Mix
Very much like the Tuesday Yoga Mix class, this Friday class is a wonderful compliment to Tuesday. Together, they offer an opportunity to practice more regularly with Lydia at the Rec Center. The classes are different in sequencing and posturally but the themes could be the same.
Yoga For Golfers
Yoga may help to improve your golf skills by improving flexibility and strength for distance and accuracy off the tee. This practice can enhance breath awareness for better swing tempo and improved overall fitness. You will learn yoga postures and movements specifically designed for a golfer’s needs including warm-ups that can be done on the course pre-game. This program is suitable for all levels, especially those new to yoga. Wear comfy clothes and bring a yoga mat.
